The d&b audiotechnik KSL12 is a line array loudspeaker engineered for medium to large-scale sound reinforcement applications. It delivers a consistent 120° horizontal directivity across its entire frequency range. The KSL12 features two forward-facing 10" neodymium LF drivers and two side-firing 8" neodymium LF drivers. Its coaxial mid-high section comprises an 8" MF horn and two 1.4" exit, 3" voice coil HF compression drivers mounted on a dedicated wave-shaping device. The cabinet's geometry allows for splay angles between adjacent units to be adjusted from 0° to 10° in 1° increments, facilitating precise coverage tailoring. The KSL12 requires two channels of amplification: one for the 10" LF drivers and another for the remaining components, which utilize passive crossovers. This configuration ensures a smooth crossover design with well-defined overlaps between frequency bands, maintaining consistent horizontal dispersion. Constructed from marine-grade plywood with a durable PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish, the KSL12 is built for resilience in various environments. It also offers the flexibility to link two cabinets in Line or Arc mode for applications where smaller arrays are preferred or when ArrayProcessing is not required.
