The d&b audiotechnik KSL-GSUB is a cardioid subwoofer designed to complement the KSL System, extending the low-frequency response of KSL8 and KSL12 loudspeakers down to 36 Hz in ground-stacked configurations. Its unique design features three 15" long-excursion neodymium drivers: two front-facing and one rear-facing. The front and rear drivers operate in independent bass-reflex chambers, each powered by separate amplifier channels, resulting in a cardioid dispersion pattern that minimizes unwanted energy behind the system and delivers precise low-frequency reproduction. The KSL-GSUB has a frequency response from 36 Hz to 105 Hz (33 Hz to 75 Hz in INFRA mode) and achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 139 dB with d&b D40 or D80 amplifiers. Constructed from marine plywood with a weather-resistant finish, it includes protective metal grills and is equipped with integrated runners for secure stacking. The cabinet dimensions are 450 mm (H) x 1,000 mm (W) x 900 mm (D), and it weighs 78 kg (172 lbs).
